If you would like every set of shoes to be as comfortable as possible then custom made footbeds (orthotics) may be for you. Orthotics are medical grade orthopaedic devices that not only improve the comfort of your shoe buy help reduce muscle and joint injury, eliminate foot fatigue, help balance and co-ordination issues and reduce and prevent hard skin build up. Your Podiatrist and Chiropodist is qualified to assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions of the foot and lower leg. To practice your Podiatrist or Chiropodist must be state registered and hold either a Degree or Diploma at University Graduate Level in Podiatric Medicine (Podiatry).
Our Primary Location within the lovely grounds of Shelley Manor Medical Centre. Our treatment facility is in the private healthcare suit within the medical centre. Modern and up to date, Shelley Manor Clinics offer an ideal environment to enjoy private healthcare. Home visits are also available to either housebound clients or those where mobility is of considerable difficulty. We now also offer Gait analysis and Orthotic Prescription at the Consulting Centre, Branksome as well as routine treatments and assessments.
All first time patients are provided with a New Patient appointment where the Podiatrist will assess and examine your feet. As Podiatrists are Medical Practitioners, you will be expected to fill out a simple new patient form prior to your treatment/examination. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment as standard. We trust your experience will be relaxing, friendly and educational, after all, the more you know about your feet, the better they will serve you. Tea and coffee are available for all clients in reception.
